Family Movie night

We’ve been given an opportunity to preview the upcoming movie, Change of Plans. It is the latest installment in the “Family Movie Night” series, by Walmart, P&G, and Moms4FamilyTV on FOX.

Change of Plans is the fourth film in an initiative sponsored by Wal-Mart and P&G to bring back “Family Movie Night”. Change of Plans is the story of Sally and Jason Danville, a young couple with plenty of love, talent, and career opportunities - and no responsibilities. When Sally's childhood friend dies and entrusts her with four children, Sally and Jason begin a journey that changes the focus of their lives and expands their definition of family. Three of these four children have become siblings through international adoption, and the movie offers a challenging, heart-warming insight into the joys and struggles of building a family from a group of strangers.

Oct. 8th - Birthparent Panel
Birth mothers will share their stories with us. We want to compile a list of questions for them and our asking our couples to e-mail us with questions (fsaboise@yahoo.com).

Oct. 15th - Openness in Adoption/Communication Plans
Presentation from Jon Pingree (adoption supervisor for Boise LDSFS) and three couples will share their adoption story.

Oct. 22nd - All About Placement/After and Beyond
RaeAnn Arnesen (Adoption caseworker at Boise LDSFS) will give an outline of what happens during this time. Q&A period. We will also have a table of gift ideas for the face-2-face as well as for placement.

Oct. 29th - Break Out Sessions
1. Outreach
2. Opening doors to adoption
3.Temple Sealing
TREATS on the 29th!! Carmel and apples will be provided. Everyone is invited to attend and bring a "topping" for dipping (for example: nuts, heath candy pieces, crushed oreos, sprinkles, dipped chocolate, chocolate chips, etc.)
